Purrjinn/Majikit Trait Guide

3uTB0PW.png

MYO & Rarity Guide Purrjinns all look like cats.
Purrjinns with non-cat traits are called majikits and are ONLY available with an exotic MYO ticket.

There are 3 basic traits that determine a purrjinn's rarity: bottle shape, contents, and tail shape.
For majikits, there are only two basic traits (bottle shape and contents).

QUICK FIND
Basic Body Shape | Contents | Tails | No Rarity | Caps Only Traits | Not Allowed Traits | MYO Checklist

Ok, let's design your purrjinn!

Basic Body Shape

Common Tier

Hourglass / Curvy

EXGgehK.png Hourglass (also called curvy) features a single curve inward around the waist line.

Squared

3A3oZIO.png Squared is not actually square. The main body just features no curves or inward angles.

Contents

Contents are always rated by their highest tier.
For example, if you have a liquid (common) and a living creature (rare), the content tier will be rated as "rare".

Common Tier

Common Contents

73vsDql.png
Liquid - Any type of liquid is always common. The liquid can be anything from water to blood to lava to a nameless colored liquid.

Non-living things - This refers to any non-living item like pieces of plastic, metal, rocks, gemstones, or manmade materials. This does not include things that would normally be found on a living thing like eyeballs or flowers.

Gas - Fart jokes aside, any type of gas or steam is allowed here., including poisonous fumes, smoke, fog, etc.

Uncommon Tier

Uncommon Contents

12tcBPG.png
Organs/Body Parts/Preserved Creatures - Anything that would normally be found on a living creature but has been preserved using the purrjinn's magic. (Kind of like a magical formaldehyde solution)

Food - Any non-liquid food item would be in this tier. If your purrjinn has whipped cream on a latte, it's in this tier. If it's just black coffee, it's in the common liquid tier.

Cut Plant Life - Flowers, leaves, pine cones, seeds are all part of this tier. If it is not an intact, living plant, it's in this tier.

Rare Tier

Rare Contents

uzGS7RA.png
Living Plant Life - If it's a whole plant, it's in this tier. The roots do not have to be in soil. They can float magically or live in water. A lily pad, for example, would be here.

Animal Life - Any animal is in this tier, including fish, mammals, reptiles, etc.

TRIVIA! Because plant and animal life are living, they are able to contain more magic. This means purrjinns containing life are more powerful than those who are not.

Mythical Tier

Mythical Contents

J8bAnDP.png
Auras, or anything that floats outside of the purrjinn, is mythical. Chie's fox fire is a good example.

Mythical purrjinns radiate auras because of their powerful magic.

Tails

XcX6eId.png

Tails for purrjinns can be non-cat like. Unique tails are considered rare. Majikit tails don't strictly follow purrjinn rarity.

Common Tier

Common Tails

y6MpeAO.png
Bob - Includes very short or rounded tails. Bunnies have tails like this.

Long - Any long tail. Can be short-haired, medium, or fluffy. Typical cat tail.

Tufted - Long short-haired tail ending in a tuft of fur. Similar to a lion.

Cork - Tail is made of an actual cork. Things can be tied on it like ribbons or balloons.

[For Majikits] Common tails are indicative of their species.
For example, a fox majikit would have a fox tail. The only exception to this is the cork tail, which is allowed as a common trait for majikits and purrjinn alike.

Uncommon Tier

Uncommon Tails

2s3wdpK.png
Short - A tail that extends farther than the bob tail. Deer have tails like this.

None - No tail. No mark for a tail. Just a smooth bottle.

Curled - A tail that curls upon itself. The fur can be any length. [For Majikits] The only uncommon tail trait available to majikits is 'None', unless their species does not have a tail in nature.

Rare Tier

Any tail not previously featured is considered rare. This only excludes the 'merpurrjinn tail', which is a Cap-only trait.

No Rarity Traits

These traits can be used freely. Any purrjinn or majikit can have them!

Size

269U7gU.png

Purrjinns & majikits can be as small as 6 inches tall or as tall as a giant 10 foot tall cuddle monsters. The process used to make a purrjinn, however, is very time consuming and tedious. For the creation of purrjinn, a vessel is used as a 'seed'. Through a magical process, the glass walls are made strong and transmuted into a completely different material. For this reason, most purrjinn are the size of bottles, as they are easy to find and quite abundant. Large purrjinn have to be sculpted from glass before they can be awoken. The Purrjian capital radiates a special magic that shrinks purrjinn and majikits to bottle size. It is said to be an illusion, but it makes infrastructure much more usable and safe, whatever the magic involved.

While connectors are always present, they can be made of almost any material: metal, plastic, fur, ribbons, frosting, etc. Connectors are magically fused and cannot break or be replaced. This includes the cap-connector located around the neck.

Ears

PHNUnBd.png

Here are some ears allowed to purrjinn. As long as the ears are somewhat cat-like, they are allowed.
Majikits can have any ears that would belong to their species.

Facial Appearance

7EMT0Gq.png

Purrjinns can have either human face with cat features (nekomimi) or furry/anthro cat features.
Majikits can have human facial features (kemonomimi) or facial features of their specific animal.
It is more common for a purrjinn or majikit to have an animal face, however.

Facial Appearance

Both purrjinns and majikits have no limitations on hairstyles or hair material. They can have no hair, fur, hair or even things like plants, whipped cream, or tentacles!

Magic

LEaTj9q.gif

All purrjinn and majikits have magical power. Those without turn back into normal bottles and their essence is returned to the purrjinn god. Cracked purrjinns have their magical powers reduced.

Purrjinn magic follows the rules of a genie.

1. They cannot harm or hurt others - directly or indirectly.
2. They cannot make someone fall in love.
3. They cannot bring the dead back to life.

Additionally, purrjinn do not possess the ability to change their physical appearance (shapeshift, etc).

Feel free to make your purrjinn an elemental or make them a jack of all trades. Like people, some purrjinns are better at certain skills than others. Some may struggle in multiple areas, while others may learn with ease.

In addition to these, feel free to decorate your purrjinn with piercings, jewelry, ribbons, clothing, etc.

For the MYO approval images, please have the contents of the bottle and bottle shape clear.

The bottles can be any color, but must be transparent enough to see the contents.

Patterned bottles and multicolor bottles must be bought at Chie's Corner Shop.

Caps Only Traits

49LuYy0.png

These traits can be purchased with Caps at Chie's Corner Shop. While most are cap-only, from time to time they may be available for points or money.

Cap only traits must be purchased individually. They can be purchased at the same time as a MYO ticket or after the purrjinn is created. A mod will confirm your purchase, and you can create (or update) your purrjinn with the bought trait. Go here to see what's for sale at Chie's Corner Shop.

Exotics

NDjDmwx.png

Exotics are majikits. They are purrjinn with characteristics not cat-like. A majikit can be made with an exotic MYO ticket or purchased as an adoptable. Majikits may also show up as a mystery purrjinn bought at Murrjinn's Cap Store.

Illegal/Not Allowed

These things are never allowed for purrjinns.

- Cross-breeding with other species. Purrjinn cannot reproduce to produce hybrid species. Hybrid purrjinns must be made through a very special magical process.
- Modeling purrjinn after existing or copyright characters. Being inspired by a character is different from heavily reference someone else's design or brand name.
- Paws smaller than their feet. The paws do not have to be huge, but they must be bigger than their feet paws. This does not apply for majikits.
- Opaque bottles. You must be able to see the contents through the bottle clearly.
- You may not copy an existing purrjinn. While you can make twin purrjinns (with two MYO tickets), you cannot copy or 'twin' someone else's design, even if you commissioned the first character.
*Please note, generic items inside purrjinn/majikits are NOT unique.
